Rebecca Kinnear

Service Manager and Clinical Lead

My Expertise

I work with both adults and children and specialise in working with clients who are experiencing anxiety and/or low mood including social anxiety, OCD, phobias and more.

I have previously worked as a multi-systemic therapist for parents and families experiencing difficulties, and am trained in the Incredible Years parenting programme.

I am accredited with the BABCP as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. CBT looks at how thoughts, feelings and behaviours work together.  In addition to this, I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

I aim to provide an integrative and bespoke approach to therapy to ensure that I meet my clients where they are at, utilising evidence-based approaches to support individuals in a meaningful way.  I am also a qualified clinical supervisor and lecture as part of Edge Hill University’s post-graduate certificate in supervision.

I enjoy working with a diverse range of highly skilled staff who are passionate about their work.  My highlight will always be working with clients and being able to work with so many different people from all walks of life.
